The Fuzz Factory took the basic Fuzz Face design and pushed it into chaos. Its unpredictable oscillations and extreme controls made it both a fuzz and a noise instrument. Muse’s Matt Bellamy popularized it, and boutique makers followed with similar experimental fuzzes like the Death By Audio Supersonic Fuzz Gun. The Fuzz Factory opened the door for fuzz as an “art piece” pedal.
