Super-Fuzz

The Super-Fuzz was wild, an octave-up fuzz with brutal clipping. Pete Townshend used it with The Who, while doom and stoner bands like Kyuss and Electric Wizard rediscovered it decades later. Its legacy is found in pedals like the Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz, Behringer Super Fuzz, and EarthQuaker Devices Terminal. Any octave fuzz with crushing lows owes a debt to the Super-Fuzz.
