The Tym TYMEXAR St Paul Distortion is a distortion pedal designed to emulate the classic sounds of the 70s and 80s, inspired by Bob Mould's iconic tone from Husker Du. This hand-built pedal, featuring an LM741 IC for authentic distortion, offers a range of harmonic square wave tones with soft clipping. Modern features include an LED, BOSS-style adaptor, and true bypass, setting it apart from the original designs while delivering powerful distortion.

This is my homage to the truly great Husker Du and is a take on the classic seventies and eighties distortion that Bob Mould used in this band. It's such a great little circuit that pushes into very nice soft clipping and on into very harmonic square wave. The original "block logo" version got silicon diodes. Mine uses the essential LM741 IC for authentic tone. It also has an LED, a BOSS style adaptor and true bypass, none of which the original had.
