Tym Square Sound
The Tym Square Sound is a distortion pedal inspired by the rare and sought-after DeArmond Square Wave Distortion Generator from the late 70s. This pedal is a hand-made recreation using the original germanium clipping diodes and a custom Tym PCB, housed in a stainless steel enclosure. It offers a unique take on the classic MXR Distortion + circuit with key component changes. Each pedal is hand-made in Brisbane, Australia.

The Tym Square Sound is a distortion based on the original DeArmond Square Wave Distortion Generator from the late '70's. The original DeArmond is rare and very sought after with a circuit based on the earlier MXR Distortion + using the original circuits germanium clipping diodes with a few key component value changes. Reverse engineered from my original unit using a custom Tym PCB and hand made into my custom stainless steel enclosure.
