The Tym Spitting Cobra Fuzz is a handmade fuzz pedal based on the classic Shen-ei FY-2 fuzz from the 1960s, also known as the Univox "wedge" fuzz. This updated version features an active filter for enhanced usability, along with a "BODY" switch for a range of tones, from clean boost to full-on fuzz. Handmade in Brisbane, Australia.

This is a new Tym fuzz based on the great Shen-ei FY-2 fuzz from Japan in the 60’s. Made by Honey and sold under many names worldwide but best known as the Shen-ei or Univox “wedge” fuzz this is an early simple 2 transistor fuzz that in original form didn’t reach unity volume when engaged. This Tym version has an active single transistor filter added into the circuit where the original passive filter was making it a much more usable fuzz and making it well above unity when engaged. This version also has a "BODY" switch to take it from cleanish boost with fuzzy overtones to full FY-2 and more.
