The Tym Club 76 is a hand-built distortion pedal, meticulously replicating the circuit of the original '73/74 Distortion+ used on the 'I'm Stranded' album. This pedal is named after a venue, and uses rare NOS 1N276 diodes and ceramic/tant caps, and offers a vintage distortion tone.
The Club 76 is exactly the same circuit as the (Tym) Stranded, meticulously reverse engineered from Ed Kueppers original '73/74 Distortion + that was used to record the (I'm) Stranded album in 1976 and using ceramic and tant caps like the original. This reproduction also uses rare NOS 1N276 diodes just like Ed's original.
The Club 76 named after the Saints original venue that was run by the band in Spring Hill as a place to put on bands, mainly the Saints. It's a very Brisbane thing and fits in with using this circuit, and Tones idea for artwork borrows heavily from his original artwork for the (Tym) Stranded but this one is housed in my smaller enclosure, with my 20th anniversary logo, and is NOT limited to 40 pedals. Approx 200 will be made if there's demand.
All of my pedals are hand made by me here in Brisbane, Australia using locally sourced components where possible and custom made enclosures. All the Tym effects on this site are constantly being hand made and uploaded for sale as they become available. I do not do presales/preorders or holds on ANY of my hand made stuff. Keep an eye on my NEWS feed for what's coming up and when it will be available. Check my blog for more info. All power supplies are std BOSS style adaptors unless noted otherwise. None of my pedals use batteries.
