Guv'nor

The Guv’nor was the first truly successful Marshall-in-a-box, bottling JCM800 crunch into a pedal. Its circuit directly influenced the MI Audio Crunch Box, JHS Angry Charlie, Wampler Plexi-Drive, Friedman BE-OD, and countless others. In many ways, the Guv’nor is the “root ancestor” of the entire amp-in-a-box category, every boutique “Marshall-style” pedal can trace a lineage back to it.
