It spawned a clone industry: the Wampler Tumnus, J. Rockett Archer, Electro-Harmonix Soul Food, and countless boutique takes all attempt to capture its magic. Beyond tone, the Klon was also pivotal in creating the modern boutique market, where scarcity and hype fueled legendary status. It’s the ancestor of nearly all “transparent OD” pedals.
