A radical reworking of the Big Muff, the Op-Amp version traded transistors for IC chips, producing a sharper, more aggressive fuzz. Billy Corgan’s Siamese Dream sound made it iconic. Its descendants include the reissued Op-Amp Big Muff, as well as countless Muff-inspired boutique pedals that borrow its clipping style. This pedal showed that core families could evolve in bold directions.
